IT employees are at the heart of these projects, collaborating, designing and executing technology solutions that are transforming our industry.  Position Overview The resource is responsible for supporting NERC regulated infrastructure, including supporting hardware, Operating Systems, components, and applications for Power System Controls (PSC) environment to ensure availability, reliability, and security. The infrastructure includes HP, Cisco, and Dell server hardware and appliances, virtualization & hyper convergence technologies, server and workstation Operating Systems (2008/ 2012/ 2016/ Win7/ Win10). The specialist/engineer performs a variety of tasks including (but not limited to) hardware and software evaluation, installation, and troubleshooting; infrastructure monitoring and maintenance (i.e., Operating Systems/ Firmware/ Software installs/upgrades/patches), incident management, change management, problem management, and compliance. The resource participates in on-call duties and supporting complex technical solutions. Typical Responsibilities Monitor, support, and maintain a large, complex, and NERC regulated compute infrastructure per predefined standards and guidelines, and industry best practice. Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot X86 hardware and Operating Systems, including security and other related patches/updates, as well as perform maintain tasks on tape vault, and cabling. Perform analysis, provide recommendations to other groups, using knowledge of infrastructure configuration and capability, application flows, and use of monitoring tools. Create, review, and modify operational processes and procedures documentation. Must be able to travel throughout SCE's service territory to perform maintenance tasks as needed.  Must be available for on-call duties including scheduled and unscheduled evening and weekend work. Support compliance and audit activities. Provides training and direction to junior staff on complex issues and new infrastructure technology. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or similar technical major/field. Five (5) or more years of experience in X86 hardware and Windows Administration. Available for on-call duties including scheduled and unscheduled evening and weekend work. Desired Qualifications Five (5) or more years of experience maintaining and supporting enterprise infrastructure and software systems including: installing, configuring, upgrading/ patching Operating Systems and Applications.    Five (5) or more years of experience in troubleshooting complex issues and performing in-depth analysis of the highest level technical issues.  Five (5) or more years of experience in performing complex analysis, consulting, and providing recommendations. NERC/CIP experience Experience working with application vendors and managing all escalated system issues to proper closure, as well as collaborating with other IT teams and the vendors to ensure coordinated maintenance, support and compliance for applications.  Experience collaborating with Application Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and other technical resources on the delivery of application functionality.  Comments Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship. Relocation does not apply to this position. This position will require on call/after hour support. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
