Command Center Manager, Grid & Network

Position Overview This position is for a key leader in the IT Grid Services Command Center Operation. The Command Center proactively monitors and remediates incidents related to the physical (transport), data/network layer and security of our environment. This 24/7 team delivers a customer-focused approach to event management and end-to-end incident resolution for our Enterprise and Grid Telecommunication and data network. The work effort and capabilities of the Command Center directly benefits SCE's Bulk Electric System (BES) reliability. Typical Responsibilities: The Command Center manager guides a team of tier 2 technical specialists using consistent, repeatable and defined processes to isolate and resolve disruptions in service. Additionally, Command Center Operations collaborates with vendors and internal resources for escalation and brings resolution to service affecting incidents. Leads resources and budget levels to meet strategic objectives and operational needs; makes, recommends and/or approves employment decisions. Identifies corrective action for significant process and procedural improvements and develops and refines operational processes to ensure the monitoring and management activities run efficiently. Conducts process governance and oversight for operational events and supports Major Incident Management (MIM) processes and associated communication for all levels of management. Provides supporting input to O&M budget for the function. Participates in business case development to request funding as necessary. Assesses budget monitoring monthly. Supports necessary compliance reporting and adherence to federal and state regulations including North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC/CIP). Qualifications   Minimum Qualifications One (1) year of experience managing/supervising/leading a team.  Four (4) years of experience supporting telecommunications systems such as SONET, Alcatel and microwave systems and/or Layer 2 data network and security systems such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Splunk Enterprise Security, and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management).  Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays as-needed to support a 24/7 operation. Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Experience with Power System Controls Applications and Infrastructure. Experience working successfully in cross-functional teams and managing external vendor relationships. Experience identifying and matching skill sets needed to complete work, training staff on new and changing technologies, and providing coaching and mentoring to staff as well as empowering them to deliver new business functionality. Experience integrating work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans. CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) and/or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and/or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and/or ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) Foundations and/or ITIL Service Operation.  A passion for resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation. Experience implementing and optimizing processes to achieve improved quality, cost, and effectiveness. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
