EMCORE is seeking a Defense Cost Estimating and Contracts Accounting Senior Analyst for a full time position.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develops, plans, schedules, price and review proposals
Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications
Coordinates the collection and accumulation of actual cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments
Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts
Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings
Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives
Ensures Estimating System compliance
Oversees projects and task assigned to the organizational group performed by non-exempt and/or exempt employees
Supports executive proposal reviews, Independent Cost Evaluations and proposal reviews evaluating risks/opportunities and cost confidence assessment
RequirementsMINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated 1+ years people lead/leadership experience and 5+ years of DoD environment cost accounting and cost volume proposal experience
Must possess demonstrated people leadership abilities
Professional working knowledge and demonstrated proficient work experience with estimating and pricing concepts, FAR, DFAR and US Government / DoD Prime Contractor customer expectations
Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication and presentation skills as well as strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to obtain secret clearance
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of various Government contract types (i.e. various Fixed Price, Cost Type, IDIQ)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
