As a scheduling coordinator, you will meet and chat with the caregivers of our clients regularly and will be essential to their peace of mind! You will also get to know our clinical team well as you work together with them to match our clinicians' specialities to the unique needs of each of our little ones.

A FirstSteps Regional Scheduling Coordinator (RSC) significantly contributes to our FirstSteps mission of ensuring best outcomes for the children we serve.
In fact, as research has repeatedly demonstrated that the hours per week of treatment positively correlates with how much our kids learn and thrive, the RSC position is tremendously important to our young clients' progress.
Ultimately, the RSC is responsible for understanding the needs of our kids (as regularly communicated by the center's director) and building and managing each child's therapy schedule in a manner that maximizes our clinical team's availability and expertise.
Core Responsibilities of our Regional Scheduling Coordinator:
Regularly meeting with our on-site Clinic Director to understand the needs and treatment recommendations of all new and current clients Confirming treatment session availability for both our clinical team members and our clients Working with our Client Service Director to ensure that our clients' contracted/funded treatment hours are fulfilled each week Building, monitoring, and updating new and current client treatment schedules to ensure they are individualized to the specific needs of our clients and maximize our clinical team's availability Communicating all treatment schedule changes to both our clinical team and the caregivers of our clients Forecasting and planning to ensure our clients receive substitute clinicians when assigned team members are ill or have pre-planned time-off Assisting our People & Purpose Department to ensure our team members have access their requisite breaks, rest periods, and overtime Maintaining confidentiality by following HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) guidelines FirstSteps on Diversity & Equity We are an equal opportunity employer which means that we value diversity, equity, and inclusivity in all aspects of our work - in our service delivery with our clients, in collaboration with families and communities, and in our organizational culture and practices with our staff.
