Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office - Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the dental office's phone system - Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information for billing purposes - Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes - Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date - Handle patient inquiries and provide necessary information or direct them to the appropriate staff member - Manage the waiting area to ensure a comfortable and organized environment for patients - Assist with other administrative tasks as needed Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment - Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus - Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred This role requires a friendly and professional demeanor, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients.
